Every season is an invitation, a reminder to notice where you are right now and exactly how you feel. With the arrival of Autumn here in the Northern Hemisphere comes your perfect opportunity to pause and check in.
The temperature may drop and the colours may change, but the months ahead have so much more to offer still. Despite this sense of winding down, Autumn is still full of energy. Nature is putting on one last show before letting go, a second renewal of life. A time to gather our thoughts, create new visions, and consider your aspirations before the slower months arrive.
Each of us so profoundly...

This summer I got to take in the true grandeur of the lastest addition to the Northumberland wedding venue scene, taking to Lemmington Hall where I was set to help bride Alice get prepped and makeup ready for her stroll down the aisle. Well outdoor aisle, as their gorgeous fairytale-esque ceremony took place in the lavish grounds that surround the hall. Captured through the lense of Rosie Davison, you'll quickly see that a certain someone named Noodle almost stole the show. The couple's dog played the part as the world's cutest ring barer escorted by Wishbone Weddings, but nothing could truly outshine...
Each morning I get to spend with my brides creating the wedding makeup of their dreams is such an honour, but an even bigger delight is getting to stay with them all day for on hands beauty support. You might not have heard of this Red Carpet Luxury Service before, but it's such a great option for those extra touch up moments, or even for switching from day to night with a more glamourous evening look. That's exactly how I spent my time with bride Marli at Maften Hall. A former model and absolutely gorgeous soul, Marli understood the merit of having the extra on hand support from her bridal team...
This might not be your first time seeing Sarah's face on my blog, having worked with the incredible model before. But this time round what I'm sharing is much more special than before, because it's not for the pages of a glossy magazine, it's to celebrate her love with now husband Matthew. She's not playing bride this time, she is the bride.
This is her moment in the sun. A beautiful summer wedding at Northumberland's Woodhill Hall, captured by the talented Sean Elliott Photography.
Skin enriched to embrace the day ahead with the Embryolisse Lait Creme, and left with a no-makeup makeup finish...
Today we're going behind the scenes at Kirkby Fleetham Hall Estate for a quick flick through my camera roll, sharing with you my time in North Yorkshire with bride Eliza and her skin-first no-makeup makeup look. Having known Eliza since she was young, it was so amazing to play a role in her wedding day. What started with a laughter and joy filled morning getting her ready, went on to become a beautiful, bright summer wedding day. And on such a hot afternoon I was glad to be on hand at a moments notice as red carpet service, ready to touch up her makeup at any moment to keep things perfect.
Sticking...
This July we're revisiting Falcus & Wood, the incredible brand by the North East's bridal visionary Kate Falcus Wood. Kate is re-launching after a pause to focus on motherhood has left her with a renewed sense of clarity. Now she's back and shifting the tides of bridal fashion even more than before, as she embraces the power of feminity to design wedding wear for the brides who value emotional connection over convention.
This is the new bridal, born from a place of wanting women to feel entirely themselves on their own wedding day. Kate's 15 years designing in the fashion industry shows in the couture...
As of the Summer Solstice on June 21st, we now stand in the season of the rose.
A flower long associated with beauty, love and the heart, the rose reaches its fullest expression at the height of the Summer. It does not rush to bloom, it unfolds petal by petal, shaped by the changing seasons, the rain, the sunshine and the passing of the time.
The Summer Solstice reminds us that growth is not always dramatic. The rose we are not defined by perfection. We are made beautiful by our experiences, our resilience, and the unique fragrance of who we are. The petals tell one story, but the essence...
Taking a closer look at Libby, this further collection from the gallery of Phoebe Lenderyou zooms in on beautifully bronzed cheeks and dreamy soft bridal glam. Whilst I created this makeup look for our Forcett Hall shoot with Rebelle Marketing, Model Libby is the picture perfect repesentation of what I love to create for my real brides. The ones who come to me asking for comfortable, breathable, party proof natural coverage. Soft glam is the perfect way to still feel like you, but elevated, that special glowing touch.
The key for that healthy, radiant finish is as always, the skincare. Massaged...
Bamburgh Castle may be an awe inspiring, scene stealing setting of the British North East, but it played only a supporting role as beautiful backdrop as bride Alex took the limelight for her wedding to groom Mike. Seeing the most gorgeous couple, dancing the day away amongst the sprawling grounds, brings to mind a favourite quote of mine.
"Have enough courage to trust love one more time and always one more time."
Alex's makeup was simply Reese Witherspoon inspired, as she reminded me so much of the actress and the look she wanted to wear on her wedding day matched so perfectly.
With a focus...
