As of the Summer Solstice on June 21st, we now stand in the season of the rose.

A flower long associated with beauty, love and the heart, the rose reaches its fullest expression at the height of the Summer. It does not rush to bloom, it unfolds petal by petal, shaped by the changing seasons, the rain, the sunshine and the passing of the time.

The Summer Solstice reminds us that growth is not always dramatic. The rose we are not defined by perfection. We are made beautiful by our experiences, our resilience, and the unique fragrance of who we are.  The petals tell one story, but the essence within tells another.

As Shakespeare wrote, “The rose looks fair, but fairer we it deem for that sweet odour which doth in it live”.

This Summer Solstice, may we celebrate not only what the world sees but also the beauty that lives within us. May we honour our growth, embrace, our authenticity and allow ourselves to bloom fully In our own time.
