Make-up fit for the formidable Yorkshire Shpherdess and her Daily Mail Article

One aspect of my career as a make-up artist is that you never really know what job you’re going to get booked for and where you’ll be spending your time. One of my latest jobs just before christmas was working with the formidable Amanda Owen. More famously known as the Yorkshire Shepherdess who has found adoration from many watchers of her reality tv show Our Yorkshire Farm, which follows the lives of her, her husband and their 9 children. Being an avid lover of the show and fellow hardworking strong women, it’s the least to say I was excited to head to the farm and meet Amanda!

When I arrived in the most remote farm in the North Yorkshire Moors I was promptly greeted with the most warm and friendly home.

‘Come on in, do you want a cup of tea?’

That’s music to my ears! Sensing my enthusism for tea on response to my favourite question to hear, Amanda and instantly hit it off chatting away about Chai Tea. I couldn’t of asked for a more inviting work day, to be part of making her look and feel as glam as she deserves for this great Daily Mail article talking all things festive in her home full of humans, chickens and sheep alike.

I can honestly say it was an absolute honour to work with Amanda who’s energy is full, playful and she has a real zest for life, each of the nine children are a delight and all beautiful with their own personalities and characters. After leaving Ravenseat Farm I came away instilled with the feeling that life doesnt have to be materialistic. The simple but important aspects of human life are respecting nature, loving your family and not being afraid of hard work. Not every job helps put things in to perspective like that!
Enjoy the article,
