After finishing another show season earlier this year I landed back in the UK reeling with inspiration and excitement. Luckily for me that coincided with an opportunity to work with some new make-up I'd yet to try. I teamed up with coveted photographer Lee Scullion to put brush to skin and dip into my creative energy with a handful of new Shiseido products.
We wanted to create a photo set with japanese influences full of spirit that captured the essence of the moment with a warm and soft focus on the eyes as the windows to the soul. Beauty Modé is the crossroads where spirituality meets cosmetic...
2019 has started and we are already now in the 3rd week of January already, I've been busy getting stuck into a new year of exciting and creative work. My latest and first piece I wanted to share with you this year is my work on some looks with award winning hairdresser Marcus King of King and I.
To create the looks for these images I wanted to keep the focus on a very natural appearance as it was all about hair that Marcus has created for this photoshoot. One of the images for example I wanted to really showcase the models natural freckles and have caught some behind the scenes showcasing me using...
Here are some images from a shoot I worked at the Newcastle Intu Metrocentre for with Dutch designer clothing company G-Star Raw last weekend. The brand is well know for specialising in iconic denim pieces. For this shoot celebrating the opening of their new store at the Intu Metrocentre the models wore jumpsuits of a classic industrial work uniform style reinterpreted in a creative contemporary way. Therefore I opted to go for a light natural makeup on the models, keeping them looking soft and fresh faced whilst allowing the spotlight to remain on the clothes.

As the beauty columnist for La Di Da Magazine I am so excited to see when La Di Da Magazine is released on each issue. I quickly open the copy of the page of my beauty column (this issue it is page 15).
This issue it is about the strength of the red lipstick that truly never goes out of date and can be worn in any season throughout the year. This image was taken from an editorial shoot with Next Clothing for this issue and during the day I created this stunning look with lipstick by Pixi by Petra.

A while ago I was approached to create a look using Honey for Noctis Magazine.
I did use real honey instead of a skincare product to create the images shown within the magazine.
On the skin I used
Steamcream
Concealer - Amazing Concealer
Freckles - Liz Earle Pencil in Dark Brown and Golden Bronze
Whilst writing this blog I was thinking about the use of honey in skincare and make-up products. Honey has wonderful nurturing, repair and healing properties to the skin and has been used since Cleopatra claimed to have used it all those centuries ago.
I have listed my top 3 must...
This time of year it is all about glamour and creating the filmstar “red carpet look”.

A couple of times a year I get to work alongside talented photographer Brett Harkness who offers training courses throughout the United Kingdom and France to existing photographers who want to learn some new skills in the camera world.
One of the training courses is held at Middleton Lodge which for me is one of my Top 5 venues to visit and to get married…. it's a hidden gem in North Yorkshire.
Tracy Kidd photographer was on the course yesterday and I have had the pleasure of working with her on studio shoots over the last year. Tracy has such a good eye at capturing people and I just love...
I have over the last year or so been working alongside an extremely talented photographer Rebecca Elizabeth Tate.
During these shoots it is wonderful to work in a team which includes of course make-up, then hair, model, stylist and of course the photographer, To create this look Rebecca was liaising with myself with her inspired mood boards to create this modern twist of 1920's inspired. We didn't want to create the obvious smoky eyes but wanted to add an element of what was happening on the latest trends from the catwalks shows for Autumn/Winter 2014/2015.
Here are the images which have...
