If you are followers of my social media platforms you will notice that I talk a lot about Middleton Lodge and fondly call it my second home!!

For me, Middleton Lodge in North Yorkshire, is a magical home where you feel like Lord and Lady every time you drive up to the front of the Georgian House. It has an amazing presence about the place and truly feels “like home”.  For weddings the building has the most impressive windows which, for me as a make-up artist, creates the perfect amount of natural light.

I met Aileen for her pre-wedding make up trial a number of months before the actual Wedding as they live in London. On meeting Aileen she reminded me immediately of a young Nicole Kidman with the delicate pale skin and natural rosy cheeks. Aileen wanted herself to keep the make-up natural and wanted to feel “like her” on her Wedding Day but wanted to also compliment her wedding dress.

Where do I begin with the wedding dress? The wedding dress was designed in London and lovingly made with the tiniest bead work individually sewn by hand. The gold thread, pearls, and sequins with an exquisite neckline gave Aileen an overall delicate look.

It is always wonderful to work with photographers that I have met before and have worked alongside Jane and Stan for a long time now.   Thank you for sharing with me these beautiful images.
