RMK Beauty

I am so lucky to receive surprise parcels in the post.

A couple of weeks’ ago a parcel arrived of some skincare and make-up from RMK Beauty. You may be asking who are RMK? Never heard of them!

RMK Beauty is one of the leading make-up artist brands in Japan and is widely recognised in Asia.   Here, in the United Kingdom, you can visit the counters at Selfridges London, Birmingham and Manchester.

In my personal life, I am obsessed with anything from Japan. I am in love with the culture, history, sense of style through to the simplicity from how make-up brands showpiece themselves which is completely different approach from other brands.

RMK Beauty’s ethos in my mind is all about bringing out that natural beauty with a hint of Japanese luxurious feel from the ingredients they have used to even the simplicity of the packaging to the colours of the make-up.

Today’s blog I am going to write about two of their skincare items and more blogs to follow in the future with their make-up.

On opening the lid you get a smell of roses. The RMK Cleansing balm is a gorgeous pink in colour. Supplied with its own spatula use a small amount about a size of a grape and apply over the face.

The solid balm instantly changes into a silky liquid when applied to the skin, which releases all the oils from damascus rose, jojoba and avocado oil, all rich in nurturing the skin.

Main benefits

  • Smells divine only if you love roses!!
  • Perfect for delicate skin which leaves you feeling soft and supple to touch
  • Excellent repair balm for dry and mature skin
  • Leaves the skin glowing and feeling refreshed

Actually I don’t know where to start about this product. At first I had to keep reading the packaging and check what RMK Beauty had sent me.

When I applied the four pumps from the dispenser the product was a liquid.   I was shocked thinking but it’s a moisturiser but it feels like a toner or a water based cleanser.

My skin as a rule at the moment is slightly on the dry side since having a recent operation and also in my mid 40’s now my skin has changed a lot over the last 5 years or so.

So I was slightly skeptical at what this product could deliver. I was really surprised at how much I like the RMK Extra Moist Skintuner. I personally think its better for a younger skin and also for my clients who live in warmer climates this would be ideal.

Main Benefits

  • If you can get used to the product being liquid in texture its refreshing on the skin.
  • A powerful mixture of natural based ingredients that deliver hydration to the skin
  • Soothing essential oils from lavender, rosewood and ginger
  • Leaves the skin feeling refreshed and glowing
  • Ideal for clients who live in warmer climates that have to deal with humidity on a daily basis
