Liquid Luxury With Stila’s Suede Shade Eyeshadow Whilst Behind The Scenes For Freya Lillie

Dare I even mention Autumn Winter 2021 clothing? I know we haven’t even had our great British summer of freedom we’re all hoping for yet, but over on location with Freya Lillie we’re getting a head start on crunchy leaves and sweater weather for a shoot featuring their AW21 range.

Obviously, I’m not gonna be showcasing the collection for them, the professional images will be released when they’re launching the line in August. However it’s such a thrill to be back at work that I was excited to show you these behind the scenes sneak peaks we took and chat to you about trying out some latest products from Stila! So here’s a day in the life of Jo…

My favourite work is always showcasing the best of British, and that’s exactly what brand Freya Lille are. Set up by mum Michelle of Freya after her daughters birth, the business as grown and developed over the years going strength to strength. The collection is created by local seamstresses and to things sustainable and cost effective they do their best to ensure they use as much of their fabric as possible with very little going to waste. The AW21 collection that I can’t wait for you to see in the future has been created by amazing in house designer Olivia.

For this look I used a variety of make-up brands to but it was my first time using Stila’s Suede Shade Liquid Eye Shadow. It’s a risk, but knowing the quality of previous Stila products I’ve had in my kit I felt confident they would perform and I was happy to see they proved me right. They are an absolute dream to apply in a soft texture that just glides so easy on the eyelids. The sponge applicator is also the ideal size to apply to they eyes, designed with true ergonomic perfection you can even make an eyeliner look with it too!

The Suede Shade range comes in eight colour shades ranging from the soft nude pink that I used on this shoot, to the deepest of a dark coffee colour. The application of the colours are so rich in pigment and luxurious in feel which for me gives you that modern feel with a twist of 70s vibe to them. You will be spoilt to chose which one you like the most, so I’d just buy them all! You can catch the full description of what was used below.

Enjoy, Jo x
