Natural Wedding Make-up Fit for a Sunny Summers Day with Danielle

I first chatted to Danielle around the end of March 2020, back whilst we were all still in Lockdown 1, which feels soooo long ago now. If only we knew then what we do now! Anyone else remember thinking it might of all blown over in a couple months at the most? Over a year later, with a lot of patience and careful planning, Danielle and Benjamin were thrilled to finally tie the knot on the 1st of July 2021.

With original plans of a romantic Italian destination wedding, Danielle quickly shifted gears as the pandemic took hold and wisely chose an equally desirable second option, the Fig House at Middleton Lodge. With the sun shining bright bringing the medditeranean vibes to us, the Lodge’s breath-taking location made up for all that was lost and waited for.

It’s definitely a location I would recommend to brides to be, especially as you have options between having your ceremony in the character filled Boiler House, or soak up some rays amongst the gorgeous flowers whilst you say your nuptials out in the Walled Garden. Fig house itself is a stunning location where you can sit and eat your wedding breakfast overlooking the gardens as you graze and prepare for the wonderful day ahead.

Georgina Harrison was on hand to lend her masterful photography skills to the day and she really knocked it out of the park when it comes to capturing the love. Flicking through these photos that have been shared with me I can feel the same genuine joy between Danielle and that I did that morning sat whilst doing her make-up. Not to mention the special apperances from their fur baby Luna are just the cherry on the cake to it all!

Speaking of that morning which I was delighted to be a part of, we opted to create a make-up look for Danielle that really kept the focus on her natural stunning beauty. Of course that meant giving her my signature perfected and glowing skin base by teaming up my Ariane Poole Primer and Face Tint with some Shiseido Synchro Skin Foundation. The biggest key to keeping her skin looking and feeling it’s best all day was starting everything off with an oil free moisturiser by Waso. With the exceptionally hot weather this cooling and soothing formula kept the greasiness at bay for Danielle so she could enjoy her day worry free.
