What a glorious morning in October 2011.  Clear blue sky and the sun beaming down on the autumn leaves which were scattered all over the village from a recent storm.   When i arrived at the home of the bride in an idealic village called Gilling West.

The bride and her bridesmaids and mother of the groom all came back from the hairdressers bubbling with excitment on the wedding morning.  They were busy chatting about the brides dress, as none of the bridesmaids had seen the dress, they were discussing “what will the dress look like”, the bride laughing to herself as she managed to keep it a secret from all that time.

The make-up began. I used a whole array of  products from Ariane Poole, Lancome, Estee Lauder and many more.  The bride wanted the bridesmaids to still look individual but wanted a natural approach to the make-up to go with the theme of the wedding.  The colours i manly used were a mixture of  taupe/brown eyeshadow colours with subtle glow of rose pink blushers and lip stained lips of pink.  One the bridesmaids wore an Estee Lauder red lipstick which just looked superb on her colouring.

Bridesmaids make-up finished and they were full of excitement running downstairs to put their dresses on.  The bride’s make-up was natural which similar concept as the bridesmaids.  The bride glowing on her wedding day and photographer  Sally Langstaff  had arrived full of excitement as well.  The photographer was busy taking pictures of the secret wedding dress, shoes and bouquet.

Everyone ready to leave the house, excitment in the air.  The church in the village overlooking the house was just perfect for the bride, she wanted to walk across the road to catch her guest arriving at the same time.  Afterwards the reception was held at Middleton Lodge, Richmond, North Yorkshire.  This private country house sits in private  parkland with its impressive Georgian manison awaits.
