If you read my blogs or watch me on social media you will know I am a huge fan of Lipstick Queen. There isn’t one lipstick I don’t seem to like from their range and I love the fun “ tongue in cheek” aspect of the names and the packaging of the products.
One of my “ must have” lipsticks is Medieval which is a Tinted lip treatment which is sheer red which suits everyone. I hear you say everyone? Yes it really is an easy colour to wear for all skin types, ages and personalities.
As quoted by founder of Lipstick Queen - Poppy King “ Lets go back in history to medieval...
If you are a regular reader of my blogs you know how much I love Lipstick Queen. The brand, the range of lipsticks from the colours to the packaging. It is such fun to see a brand having so much fun with their products.
The latest range to the brand is Belle Epoque.
Belle Epoque is a range of three tinted balms, currently I am using the paler shade in Belle Nude. The other two shades are Belle Pink and Belle Wine.
These three lip colours offer a hint of colour to the lip but add more of a treatment to the lips. My lips tend to get really dry especially when I have been working...
Freckles are known as a sign of “youth” and yes I am writing a blog about how to add more freckles to the skin.
On many photo shoots I create freckles around the top of the nose area and across the cheekbones to add fun aspect to a look.
This is so easy to do yourself and can add a lift to the skin and add some sunshine glow to the face.
The top tips are
Don’t use the same colour of kohl pencil. I use two or three colours and add them throughout the face
Start on the nose area and work out towards the cheekbones and you can also add the freckles to the forehead.
Use a powder...
Lipsticks over the season have been dramatic with reds, plums and deep berry colours. If you are struggling to wear these colours opt for a more subtle look which is so striking and easy to wear for the season ahead.

The lipsticks colours I have picked are from one of my favourite lipstick brands, called Lipstick Queen. Lipstick Queen was founded by Australian lipstick guru Poppy King.

I have used Jurlique for the last year and I have written a few blogs on the range in the past due to my love of “roses”… did you know they can use up to 8000 hand picked roses from their farm in South Australia for some of their 100ml bottles.
The cold weather setting in and seeing the first few flurries of snow here can play havoc with our skins which can make it feel dry, sore, red or even worse rosacea can flare up during this time.
Over the last couple of weeks I have asked a client, who suffers from rosacea, to try the Jurlique Calendula Redness Rescue Spray Mist morning and night....
Lipstick Queen as a lipstick brand is superb. I love the fun aspect of the brand, clever use of words and description by designer Poppy King plus her clever use of lipstick colours in matt, gloss and sheer textures.
This season it is all about “strong lipsticks” whether it be in a bright orange, cerise pink, deep crimson reds. You may ask how can I wear such strong colours?
Welcome to Lipstick Queen Chinatown Glossy Pencils. The packaging is inspired by Roman Polanski’s Chinatown movie. The pencils come in an array of shades with a jumbo sized pencil sharpener. My favourite colour...
I get requests all the time from brides who love the “smoky eye look” and clients who are having private make-up lessons often remark how they love the smoky eyes but struggle with what products to use.
Last year I came across the Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour for my own make-up bag , my favourite colour being Plum.
These sticks are one of the easiest products to create smouldering smoky eyes and they are available in numerous different colours. The Caviar sticks are ultra creamy, long lasting, transfer and crease resistant, perfect for long lasting effect. They can be purchased...
