It's been a few years since I last blogged about I’m Still Ethan, a short film I created the makeup for a few years ago, but it's finally out! Not only was I the set MUA, but the eagle eyed amongst you will spot my brief cameo role. Having had met writer and producer Phoebe Lorenz on another film set a while before hand, she filled me in on this project and the fundraising efforts and I was immediately sold on the opportunity to be a part of it. Hot off the plane from Ethiopia, I arrived in Newcastle for what I'm dubbing as the wedding of the year so far! After working around the clock on a photoshoot in the swealtering heat of Addis Ababa, it was a quick turn around to get back to the UK and into wedding mode but wow was it worth it. I loved the trip to the Scottish Borders to be part of Caroline & Shea's wedding. Held in the beautiful Chirnside/ Kelso area, this part of the country never fails to impress me and makes for an idyllic wedding day backdrop. I first met Sophie back in March 2020, just a few days before official lockdown number 1 began. For one of my recent weddings back in the summer I got to enjoy the change of scenery from my usual venues as I spent the morning at Newton Hall with my lovely bride Helen prepping her for the magical day ahead.
