A few weeks ago I had a phone call out the blue from Jen and Hils who were getting married in April 2014 at Middleton Lodge as they wanted to have their make-up applied on their wedding day. I had met Jen and her partner Hils the year prior at a wedding fayre at Middleton Lodge. In April 2014 the law had changed for same sex couples and now they had the chance to change from civil ceremony wedding to actually getting married on their wedding day.
