Once again that wonderful time of year for Spring Summer Fashion Weeks has come and gone and I have made it through all the beauty and busyness to share some of it with you. Here's a look back stage working for one of my favourite designers Erdem, presenting their new 2020 Spring/Summer collection at Grays Inn Gardens for London Fashion Week. The gorgeous show displayed bursts of bright floral prints on ankle length gowns paired with wide brimmed hats that brought together a chic victoriana vibe.
As always it was my pleasure to be part of the team for the legendary Val Garland for the day,...
After spending a week catching my breath and getting back up to speed with my work back here in the UK I wanted to take time to post a final peak into my life during show season. As always with its been a busy yet rewarding few weeks, I'm always grateful for the opportunity to work on teams with talented creatives refining my skills and creating my signature perfected skin looks for the designers.
Here are some pictures from behind the scenes in London, Milan and Paris which capture a day in the life of Jo on catwalk shows. From a rare day off in sunny Paris to garment close ups and snaps of products...

It's times in your life that something life changing happens and you get to work alongside some uber talented people. My time came when I had the chance to work with Val Garland and her team during London and Milan.
Every year I work at London Fashion Week and love every single moment of it even through the stressful times. This year I got such a huge excitement and buzz from the whole aspect of achieving the look designed by Val Garland. To see the overall look from the make-up and hair to the final collection with the models walking that walk down the catwalk.

I have been sitting here for a while trying to express in words how I feel being picked to assist backstage with Val Garland for ISSA Spring Summer 2016 collection.
I can honestly say I am speechless - which is rare for me!
After completing the four month intense course with Val Garland School of Make-up during the summer months which during that time I got to submit briefs set by i-D magazine ( where I was shortlisted for my work), Preen, Vivienne Westwood, Matthew Williamson and NARS. At the end of the course I could put my name down to be picked to work backstage with Val Garland on the ISSA...
I was thrilled to be asked back to work backstage at London Fashion Week with the lead make-up artist Ariane Poole with Ariane Poole Cosmetics.
Two seasons running Ong Oag Pairam has worked alongside Ariane to create beautiful make-up to represent the clothes from his collection.
Ong Oag himself is an extremely passionate designer about his collection and you can see the fine details that he adds to his clothes, from the research and aspiration towards the fabric he chooses to even the colour.
This season being Spring Summer 2016 was a reference to the late 1950’s to 1960’inspired...
A few weeks' ago Ariane Poole contacted me to ask if I wanted to be part of the make-up team for an amazing designer Ong Oag Pairam at London Fashion Week.
What could I say ….of course I had to say YES!!!
Arrived early lunchtime at the Grand Connaught Rooms in Covent Garden where it all began.
Working backstage is all about the atmosphere where you spend the next four hour call time, prepping hair and make-up with models getting ready for dress rehearsal for final preparations of fittings and outfit decisions.
Photographers and film crew wondering around capturing the day, stylists,...
What an amazing opportunity I had in February the chance to work as part of a make-up team headed up by Amanda Bell at London Fashion Week for Fashion Designer Emaliomada.
The brief for the make-up was neutral skin foundation, brows to be defined with a straight masculine feel and lashings of reds, oranges and golds for the eyes with a final touch of nude lips.
The location One Mayfair London.
