Last weekend I spent my time at Lartington Hall meeting brides. During this time one of the main requests I received from the brides is that they felt make-up needs to look flawless with delicate approach to colour.
I wanted to share with you some of the images of a look I created with this approach in mind and the products I used.
In keeping with the delicate colours of the flowers, décor and the venue I wanted to keep a peachy hue with the makeup but add a black eyeliner for a hint of drama. For the eyeliner it was kept quite thick and heavy as opposed to the obvious winged cat flick eyeliner...
It is always such an amazing surprise when I receive make-up in the post for me to try. The latest make-up product I have received is by Daniel Sandler.
I immediately was inspired to use the Radiant Glow Illuminating Face powder on a client to create a similar look to the pink from pink peonies. The look my client wanted was to create those rosy cheeks with a gentle cat flick eyeliner.
How I used the Daniel Sandler Radiant Glow Illuminating Face Powder
To create the colour on the cheeks I used a small blusher brush and used the four colours in the palette to create the glow.
Secondly...
Straight off the catwalks of New York, London, Paris and Milan the summer make-up trend is blue eyeliner.
How can you wear blue eyeliner without looking like you have gone back in time in the 1980’s or looking like ABBA.
The trick is to make the focus on the eyeliner but keep the rest of the make-up on the skin and lips really natural. Less is more with this type of look.
To create the look I used a blue khol pencil by Daniel Sandler
Moisturiser: Steamcream
Foundation: Armani Silk Foundation
Concealer: Amazing Concealer
Mascara: RMK 03W
Eyebrows: Eylure Eyebrow...
After having a weeks holiday on a Tibetan yoga and meditation retreat in the desert in Morocco I had a lovely surprise in my letterbox.
The new colours of watercolour blushers by Daniel Sandler in two scrumptious shades called Golden Glow and Rose Glow. As a make-up artist I have used the watercolour blushers in my kit in the past but was excited to see the bronze shades.
Immediately I had to try them straight away! As I had a slight tan already from my holiday I had opted to try the Golden Glow which is a warm bronze shade. The texture of these watercolour blushers are just...
We are living in a world of being consumed by an influx of mascaras on the market and really not sure which ones to purchase, it truly is a mine field.
Mascara have become such a personal aspect of make-up and everyone have their own preferences on how the luscious lashes should look. Do you get into the habit of asking friends what do you use? How do you create those eyelashes?
I am a huge fan of the chunky mascara wand of a natural hair which creates a full thicker lash for me which I can create a heavier look by using an eyelash primer.
When Daniel Sandler sent me this mascara to try I got really...
I always have to pinch myself when I get to see my latest work in New magazine and also in large print which I have proudly framed and on display.
Over the last couple of years I have worked alongside an amazing team and love creating the looks for Rock N Rose campaign/editorial and social media images.
How did I create this look using Daniel Sandler make-up?
The key is to focus the look on the blusher. To create a soft focus on the skin I applied the foundation with a foundation brush. For those “killer cheekbones” I used the highlighter shimmer on top of the cheeks to make the cheeks...
