It's so important that for your wedding that you feel true to you, that's why I love doing bridal make-up. I get to be part of bringing your personality to life with my creative skills, which was definitely a big part of this weeks wedding feature. Bride Kitty is a someone who comes to mind when you’re thinking about individuality and style, which if you’ve been following along with my new brand Untitled No 1, you would know is quite literally what I’m all about. “Be your own no 1” is the core ethos of what we do at Untilted No 1, and I couldn’t help but feel artistically refreshed...
The 29th of July is more fondly known in the make-up world as National Lipstick Day, so what better than to have had my work featured online for Flanelle Magazine on that day! The work was created in collaboration with one of my all time favourite creatives Lee Scullion to showcase the results that can be achieved using the Jo Leversuch Brush Collection from Untitled No 1.
These up close and personal beauty shots leave nothing to hide, but only bold beauty on display. The skin prepped with SUQQU's Aquafons range allowed for the Ariane Poole Ultimate Face Tint to seamlessly melt...
I loved the trip to the Scottish Borders to be part of Caroline & Shea's wedding. Held in the beautiful Chirnside/ Kelso area, this part of the country never fails to impress me and makes for an idyllic wedding day backdrop.
With the weather blessing the lovely couple with a warm glorious day the countryside setting truly came to life under the warm glow of the sun.
A private wedding took place on the family farm where I endeavoured to replicate the aforementioned glow from the sunshine in Caroline's bridal make-up. It was important to Caroline her look was in keeping with the outdoor location...
This week I'm sharing with you my work with END. to mark the 35th anniversary of the Air Max 1. They were celebrating in style with the 'La Ville-Lumière' release especially for the anniversary and had me on board to create a look for the shoot. They had asked for a soft matte skin base which was perfect play off the harsh urban environment and the energy of these effervescent pastel sneakers.
It was nice to mix things up after playing with a lot of glow and shine in my work lately, so I was excited I got to do a more neutral matte effect. I achieved this by prepping the skin with a delicate...
Where do I begin with the wedding of Mr and Mrs Goddard? As I am writing this blog post and scheduling it to go out, it is exactly two years ago we were put into that first fateful lockdown and all weddings were postponed until further notice. It feels like so much longer now as we all start to catch up with our new normal and almost everyone who has faced a postponement has finally said their vows. The mad rush to fit every Bride in and the non-stop work I have been ever so grateful for to get back on my feet, it's been a whirlwind.
Amongst that whirlwind was the wonderful...
Just like many of my 2021 weddings, Priyanka and Paul's felt like double the celebration. Another couple surrounded by their friends and family on October 23rd at Bolton Castle, all just over joyed to be together celebrating this day of love between the two after countless restrictions and lockdowns we had all endured globally. The pandemic has hit us all hard in so many ways, but seeing how people grasp the opportunity to live life to the fullest again when they finally get the chance to is really such a beautiful thing. That's the exact energy I felt as I helped Priyanka get ready for her special...
I'm still not quite over the whirlwind of 2021, so every time I receive more images of gorgeous weddings from last year I am still blown away by how we pulled together such beautiful moments in so much turmoil. I am so grateful amongst restrictions and lockdowns I still managed to get some wonderful time working with amazing brides at my second home, Middleton Lodge.
This time it was Caroline who I was blessed to be spending her wedding morning with. She loved make-up so much that she really relished the opportunity at the trial to deeply discuss all the different aspects of make-up and skincare....
It was third time lucky for Luisa and Paul when it came to planning their wedding through a pandemic, as it has been for so many other of my brides. That lucky number three keeps coming up! So come take a look at these amazing sneak peaks at their wedding album. find out more about their day and Luisa's warm smokey make-up look.
The sun shined gloriously all day long on the 4th of September, finally their third chosen date finally had come around. With wedding ceremony held at their...
I first met Sophie back in March 2020, just a few days before official lockdown number 1 began. It was her bridal make-up trial I can remember her in tears, as any bride would be, all that time ago filled with uncertainty for what would come of her wedding she had planned for June 2020. Little did we know back then just how naive we were to hope for a much smaller set back than we got, in almost every way of life let alone weddings!
None the less we went ahead with the trial with crossed fingers and minds filled with hope. During we discussed what key elements Sophie felt were important to her for wedding...
You might recall me blogging back in the spring about an incredible British Brand where local seamstresses create sustainable linens, Freya Lillie. That's because we were looking behind the scenes on location at their AW21 shoot, which has now been published in Flanelle Magazine just in time for us to get in the autumnal spirit! You can get a glimpse of their latest line of luxury linens that are made to order and fit your body like a glove. Whilst these may be an Autumn release, the gorgeous breathable fabrics are wardrobe staples for all year round.
It was my first time using some new Stila...
