Sometimes when I receive or purchase make-up items I am thinking 'is this a gimmick' ? 'Can it really work?'
The latest new product launch of YSL Touche Eclat Blur Perfector I thought would be one of these items I would try and think this is a gimmick. Oh but how wrong I have been!
This product really does what it says on the tin! It comes in a gorgeous pink compact case which just looks beautiful on your dressing table or in your handbag to show to everyone.
Why do I like YSL Touche Eclat Blur Perfector
It really feels like silk on the skin and so easy to apply
Smooths out open...
Freckles are known as a sign of “youth” and yes I am writing a blog about how to add more freckles to the skin.
On many photo shoots I create freckles around the top of the nose area and across the cheekbones to add fun aspect to a look.
This is so easy to do yourself and can add a lift to the skin and add some sunshine glow to the face.
The top tips are
Don’t use the same colour of kohl pencil. I use two or three colours and add them throughout the face
Start on the nose area and work out towards the cheekbones and you can also add the freckles to the forehead.
Use a powder...
I arrived at Middleton Lodge to be taken to the calm inviting treatment rooms with subtle muted colours and a scented candle burning with a warm cosy blanket ready for my 75 minute facial.
The REN Renew facial was superb. Each section of the treatment was so soothing and relaxing, so much so I spent some of the time asleep!. Apart from the facial it also included a head, hand and arm massage which for me completed the whole experience.
I was delighted to find I could buy some of the products used during the treatment to take home with me and the four products I bought were:

We are living in a world of being consumed by an influx of mascaras on the market and really not sure which ones to purchase, it truly is a mine field.
Mascara have become such a personal aspect of make-up and everyone have their own preferences on how the luscious lashes should look. Do you get into the habit of asking friends what do you use? How do you create those eyelashes?
I am a huge fan of the chunky mascara wand of a natural hair which creates a full thicker lash for me which I can create a heavier look by using an eyelash primer.
When Daniel Sandler sent me this mascara to try I got really...
This week I am not going to write much about my latest blog … the images will do the talking!
I can only say I was absolutely thrilled and so proud to be one of the shortlisted finalists for the latest i-D Magazine.
The inspiration came from the era of Punk/Skins during the late 70's early 80's as i-D Magazine has just celebrated their 35th anniversary in the industry.
I would like to thank Giorgio Armani for the lipstick … what a glorious red in shade 400.
Below I have shared some photographs of my work for this shortlisted photoshoot with you:

I am fortunate to have worked with La Di Da magazine on their front covers in some of the magazine's previous editions. This latest edition was to showcase an "ascot theme" within the grounds and country house of Middleton Lodge in North Yorkshire. The make-up was to keep it simple with a classic look.
You can also read the story 'Ascot Dahlings' relating to the front cover here
I wanted to share with you some images taken for a jewellery designer Michail Jarovoj.
When I first saw the jewellery I loved how the texture of the jewellery was soft with a plastic feel to touch. This inspired me to create the make-up to compliment the jewellery but not take over the look.
I decided to use pastel colours to create this look and hope you love the look?
