04428LRGThere are many things I love in life …. too many to name!!  But I must talk about make-up and saving the bees.

When I saw this latest palette launched by Chantecaille for Spring 2014 – Save the Bees Collection, I thought I must write about it.

Every season Chantecaille bring out a palette where 5% of the proceeds go to the designated charity.  Last month I wrote about the Wild Horses.

It may be wet, cold and grey outside but this latest palette of Spring colours of warm coral, pink and soft nectar brings some sunshine to the face.

The palette comes in 4 refillable sections:

  • Honey Highlighter – a wonderful golden highlighter that can be used on the eyes and cheekbones
  • Nectar Blush – a warm, easy to use coral/pink blusher
  • Sky Eyeshadow – a sheer blue that adds a hint of colour to the eyelids
  • Beehive Eyeshadow – easy to use grey/beige for the contouring of the eyelids

Save the Bees Palette
BEHIND THE CAUSE:

Acting as Nature’s pollinators, Bees have played an extremely vital role in our terrestrial ecosystems for millions of years. Unfortunately, in the past century a number of bee populations have gone extinct as a result of disease outbreak, monocultures like corn and soy and repeated use of dangerous pesticides.

Their dramatic decline not only threatens our harvests and livelihoods, but serves as a serious warning sign that our environmental attitude and practices must change.
WHAT CAN I DO?

Saving the Bees only takes a few simple everyday changes, such as:
Plant wildflower seeds.

Eliminate pesticide and herbicide use.

Purchase local honey from community beekeepers

Sign the Pollinator Pledge!

5% of proceeds from the Save the Bees Palette will be donated to The Xerces Society to help protect bees and our environment.
