Do you remember my January post about creating front cover worthy bridal make-up? Because, breaking news, Belle Bridal just made it even easier to get a closer look at that dreamy wedding cover shoot at North Yorkshire’s Solberge Hall. As the bridal MUA on hand to create the outstanding glow for this campaign, I’m so excited to announce that Issue 28 of Belle Bridal Magazine is now available as a free digital download!
Think interactive pages, videos and clickable links to all the best wedding suppliers in the North East, at your finger tips anywhere, anytime. Aisle inspo has never been better or easier to get your hands on.
I thought it was the perfect time to refresh you on some of my favourite products and techniques that you’ll be getting first hand when you book me for your big day. Along the way you can learn a few tips and tricks too, so you can land your own luxurious, glowing look at home.
This edition was all about embracing the spring essence with a bold radiance that exuded warmth. And radiance always starts with skin health, that’s why it’s so important not only to have a good moisturiser, but to take the time to massage it into the skin for a few minutes before you do anything else. We’re releasing tension, promoting the blood flow and really allowing the product to absorb into the skin and get to work.
For this shoot in particular, I chose Weleda’s Skinfood Rich Intensive for its rich, long-lasting healing formula, alongside Biovene’s Hydra Power Nourish Eye Concentrate and Vitamin C Day Boost for a 3 pillared approach to healthy illuminated skin. There’s definitely such a thing as too much product, but when working to massage I’m looking to ensure my hands are gliding smoothly across the face at all times. This combination soaks in beautifully together to leave the perfectly primed base by the time I’m finished.
At each bridal trial we’ll always discuss your individual skin types and concerns to make sure we’ve got the perfect blend for your base, skincare and make-up wise.
When it comes to the actual make-up products that give guaranteed glow, I made sure to pack my kit a selection that I knew would reliably deliver illuminating formulas that I could layer for a high end finish. Starting with colour correction I used the Poco Beauty Universal Glow Treatment for its light reflecting, skin nourishing ingredients.
This colour correction then meant I could keep the complexion sheer and light with Typology ‘s Tinted Serum, avoiding any cakey muting of the skin. Less is more for your base pigments!
Next I took my Jo Leversuch Detailed Brush across all the high points with the Ere Perez Vanilla Highlighter Balm and finished off the glow routine with the Delilah Wake Up Radiant Skin and Makeup Mist. An often over looked step in a glam routine, facial mists are that final touch that can really elevate your make-up that aren’t getting the credit they deserve.
