How To Get Front Cover Worthy Bridal Makeup in 2025

The North East’s finest source of bridal style inspo, Belle Bridal Magazine is back for its 28th issue and I’m sharing the makeup details so you can get your own front cover look.

Embracing the Spring essence of this edition I’m ready to blast away the January blues here in County Durham. I really wanted to create a striking skin glow that would transport you to sunnier days by creating an eye catching highlight using the Weleda Skinfood Rich Intensive. The moisture rich formula swiped across the cheeks, shoulders and collar bones really gave those high points a healthy rejuvenated pop both on camera and in person.

This was the final step of the skincare routine done just after my essential invigorating massage that I swear by. Whether it’s an editorial shoot or a real wedding scenario, I always spend a lot of time pampering and massaging the skin because it makes such a difference for the final makeup result. On this shoot in particularly I used the Biovene Hydra Power Nourish Eye Concentrate to really hydrate the eye area, and finished with the preparation with the Biovene Vitamin C Day Boost for a real boost of radiance.

I continued this glow with the Typology Tinted Serum for a sheer complexion coverage and topped up those highlighter points with the Poco Beauty Universal Glow using my Jo Leversuch Detailed Brush.

Now tell me, are you looking for the perfect blend? I’m not just talking about technique, for this campaign I wanted to create a true ethereal look for the 2025 bride. That’s why I chose to blend the SUQQU Blurring Colour Blusher with the Ere Perez Vanilla Highlighter Balm, combining high performance, luxury pigments with powerful, skin nourishing radiance. The soft gentle hues of pink from this cheek combo and a touch on the lips from the Summer Friday Butter Balms perfectly evoke a delicate floral feeling.

The final step is the what takes just glow and levels it up to outstanding glow. Facial mists, one of my favourite tools for an otherworldly radiance. You’ll likely find me reaching for the Delilah Wake Up Radiant Skin and Makeup Mist for my brides all year long just like I did on set with Belle Bridal this day.

2024 might be over but it’s not too late to be the belle of your own ball, there is still some availability for 2025 so book your magazine worthy bridal makeup today. Emailing your wedding details to jo@makeupbyjo.co.uk to find out more.

Enjoy, Jo x
