Today we’re going behind the scenes at Kirkby Fleetham Hall Estate for a quick flick through my camera roll, sharing with you my time in North Yorkshire with bride Eliza and her skin-first no-makeup makeup look. Having known Eliza since she was young, it was so amazing to play a role in her wedding day. What started with a laughter and joy filled morning getting her ready, went on to become a beautiful, bright summer wedding day. And on such a hot afternoon I was glad to be on hand at a moments notice as red carpet service, ready to touch up her makeup at any moment to keep things perfect.

Sticking to her own tried and true skincare Eliza’s skin was prepped using La Roche Posay’s Cicaplast. Although I have my own skincare favourites I often use, everyone’s skin is different, so I love when a bride knows what works for her. Since it was such an incredibly hot day for Eliza’s wedding, so keeping things feeling light and breathable was a real priority. I’ve always been an advocate for less is more when it comes to layering product, being thoughtful to emphasize and enhance with every stroke and tap, without taking away from a client’s personal beauty.

Groundwork is a shade I keep coming back to for minimal makeup, when the eyes need an understated touch of definition. Then for a delicate flush on the cheeks I swept across the SUQQU Blurring Colour Blush, an oil-less formula that blends beautifully and allows her skin to stay feeling light.
