Bamburgh Castle may be an awe inspiring, scene stealing setting of the British North East, but it played only a supporting role as beautiful backdrop as bride Alex took the limelight for her wedding to groom Mike. Seeing the most gorgeous couple, dancing the day away amongst the sprawling grounds, brings to mind a favourite quote of mine.
“Have enough courage to trust love one more time and always one more time.”
Alex’s makeup was simply Reese Witherspoon inspired, as she reminded me so much of the actress and the look she wanted to wear on her wedding day matched so perfectly.
With a focus on creating a skin-first glowing complexion just like the hollywood starlet, I used Tatcha skincare to hydrate the base and leave her face looking and feeling fresh. Refining her complexion in a minimal and thoughtful manner, I used Typology’s Tinted Serum for a light, no makeup makeup finish.
For a romantic nuptial blush, we used a known favourite of Reese’s and a regular in my kit, sweeping the Merit Flush Balm delicately across Alex’s cheeks. And for a comfortable lip that allowed for a day full of kisses, laughs and deep chats, the Lisa Eldridge Rouge Experience brought comfortable high impact colour. A dab of Summer Fridays’ Vanilla Lip Butter Balm on top amps up the sheen and softness for an extra hydrating pout.
