June sunshine lit up The Yorkshire Wedding Barn for Lydia’s wedding in Gilling West, which meant starting the bridal makeup with one of my favourite SPF’s. The Beauty Pie Featherlight SPF is perfect as it combines high SPF with a really makeup friendly formula that helps secure pigments in place on a balmy day. There’s little worse than feeling greasy from your sun protection on a hot day, then layering make-up on top can be a recipe for disaster. Starting with the Beauty Pie SPF is a great way to keep the skinbase light and fresh whilst still being protected.
Wedding photographer Sean Elliott did such a beautiful job capturing the day and here I’m sharing some of those sweet get ready moments we shared with Lydia before she took to the aisle. A delicate and glowy look for the summer months called for the Shiseido Synchro Skin Self-Refreshing Foundation for its long wear capabilities designed specifically to resist the effects of humidity and oil build up when the weather is on the warmer side. There’s a few foundations that actively work with you when you break a sweat to keep you looking great, but Shiseido’s technology is the best I’ve found yet for that flawless staying power.
Inspired by Lydia’s playful pastel bouquet and hair adornments by Florist Picked at Dawn, I used the Delilah Cosmetics In Bloom Radiant Liquid Blush in shades Sweet Pea & Peony for a floral flush on the cheeks. I love how easy these liquid blushes blend into the cheeks and leave a lasting all day radiance.
