You might remember last August the story of Olé the cat whilst I was working and staying at the Hyatt Regency Kotor Bay Resortin Montenegro, the sweet injured stray cat that stole our hearts. Between ourselves, the staff at the Hyatt and the amazing charity Kotor Kitties it was incredible to find out that Olé had landed himself in a loving home shortly after we had flown home with him on our minds.
Now even better news is to see the Hyatt updating their Linkedin at the start of this year with a little Olé photo from his adopter Armin. It’s so wonderful to see the hotel’s commitment to the local feline community they care for, just look how handsome and healthy he’s looking now! Here’s what they had to say:
“You can say our team is obsessed with #KotorBay, you will also say we are a colorful happy and proud bunch, but if you ever stayed with us, or you are planning to – you will also realize we are a bit peculiar about our love for pets. To be more precise, we love our furry friends, especially those who do not have their own humans.
You will find water bowls in odd places around the property gardens, and when enjoying the view on one of our terraces you are bound to see a cat watching you from afar in hopes you drop (by mistake) a prawn or a bite of fish, although they do enjoy some veggies too.
Jokes aside, not only is Kotor known as a cat city and has a Cat Museum, cats have lived in Kotor and Kotor Bay for centuries and have protected the bay and it’s homes. They have become a symbol of good luck and prosperity.
It was no surprise then that our Armin Dzinovic jumped to join our paw loving guests in their humane quest, as our hospitality, love and care truly does go beyond the expected.”
