January, the month of new rituals, a time for doubling down on self care and the perfect time to introduce you to my latest obsession! If you follow me on socials or regularly read this blog, you’ll already know how much I love the brand Peep Club, so much that we even stock them at Untitled No1! Not only do they formulate high quality eyecare products, but the brand themselves stand by an ethos that only draws my attention in even more. I love seeing women owned businesses that are carefully crafting specialist products here in the UK with all vegan ingredients!
The latest edition to their range is just what I needed to start 2024 off feeling fresh. The Eye Rescue Lidstick has been three years in the making, developed by their team of Optometrists it’s the first of its kind, an eye balm stick specially engineered to rescue dry eyes. Packed with eyecare essentials such as oat ceramides, Evening Primrose Oil and New Zealand Manuka Oil I couldn’t wait to give this soothing concoction a try since I’d already had such success with their Instant Relief Eyespray.
Timing wise this couldn’t have been better for me as my menopausal symptoms continue, the one that’s been troubling me the most is severely dry eyes. It’s been uncomfortable to say the least and concerning for my eye health, but also seriously doesn’t combine well with my deep love of eyeshadow!
Using the Eyespray during the day, I picked up the Eye Rescue Lidstick to incorporate into my night time routine to step up my healing game whilst I sleep. It’s been well worth it on its own, but I double the action with their Heated Eye Wand too as an extra measure that feels like a luxurious little spa massage moment to myself each evening. After all the eyes are the windows of the soul, they deserve the best care!
It’s been an absolute treat for my sore eyes and incredibly relaxing after a long day looking at screens when I’ve been working from home. In the modern day when so many of us are straining our eyes looking at phones and computers this is the perfect way to unwind, menopause or not. I noticed a marked improvement within a week, I barely had any soreness and the skin felt smoother and conditioned. This is definitely an evening ritual I will be sticking to for 2024.
