Exciting news as at the end of January Joe McElderry’s latest music video Baby Had Your Fun was released meaning getting to see my make-up in all its glory in the finished product shining under those bright studio lights! The long awaited comeback of the amazing X-Factor winner is a fun upbeat song with some country meets disco dancing vibes. Whilst his song might be about having his fun despite his ex lovers hurtful actions, it’s also the perfect number to jam to having a good old dance in a similar fashion despite our lockdown blues.

 

It was such a fun day watching Joe and his dancers hard at work that I almost forgot the discomfort of my mask all day. Watching them hoe down I couldn’t help but want to join in myself! Nevertheless I was there for one thing and that was work. On Joe I used my favourites from Shiseido to create a barely there but noticeably perfected skin base so stay looking and feeling fresh in make-up that performs well under the warm and bright lighting of the set. For the backing dancers for the girls eyes I used the aptly named Beaches Cream Colour Matte by Danessa Myricks for a truly bold and funky look that stood out beautifully on film amongst all the quick camera work and exciting dance moves.
