Rockalilly Lipstick

I wanted to share with you a vintage inspired two day photo shoot i was involved in at an amazing location Rigwood Manor in Saltburn by the Sea Redcar and Cleveland.   I was approached last year by Vicky Trainor vintage stationer and Becky Mitchell photographer who were both excited about a new venture they had planned for this year.   Mood boards were emailed across to me and my make-up ideas began for the shoot.

The make-up was inspired by recent magazines and images and after watching many hours and i mean many hours as i had purchased the box set of Mad Men.  From magazines and Mad Men series these images inspired me  to achieve an modern fresh “american vintage” look which was full of colour with the stunning showcase of red lipstick.    The backdrop of the bride sitting in the boudoir bedroom, with original pieces of furniture, clothing, hair and dressing table glassware fitted in perfectly with the look

The application of make-up i wanted to remain fresh and youthful.   The foundation supplied by Ariane Poole.   The eyeshadow of an amazing turquoise blue also supplied by Ariane Poole was applied in the traditional mono colour of the era from 1950’s to 1960’s.   The blusher i wanted it to be stronger than usual of the ear as i wanted a “vintage american look”.   The amazing glamourous red lipstick supplied by Rockalily London called Rockette Red, perfect blue based red ideal for this photo shoot and for any skin colour as well.
