On Sunday the 22nd of September, night and day meet in equal length for the second time in 2024 as we crossed into Autumn here in the UK and the rest of the Northern Hemisphere. A historically celebrated phenomenon, at Untitled No1 we’ve been spending the last few weeks embracing the cultural significance of the equinox with open arms, ready for its renewing energy.
Keep reading for our top three beauty & lifestyle picks to settle yourself in to the season ahead and what we’re focusing on to stay connected.
As Autumn breathes change into our environment, nature erupts anew in the sweetest places, proving that summer isn’t the only season that’s for thriving. As the months progess I welcome cosy evenings with desserts crafted with hand picked apples and blackberries, peppered with earthy spices, hearty nuts and delicious English butter.
Many of us take to the kitchens to emulate the heat of days long past. From bubbling homemade soups, poured hot custard, serving up zesty curries or sipping endless cups of tea. Which culinary delights bring an abundant warmth to your autumnal days? This is your reminder to soak up those soothing sensations we so often take for granted.
It’s no secret tea is my choice, for every day of the year. But for Autumn my personalised blends from Medical Herbalist Katie are bringing balance into my life as we shift into the third quarter of the year.
Her custom blends of rose, camomile, mallow leaf and skullcap comfort my nervous system and support my emotional well being as the darker nights set in. Drinking tea for me a has always been a meditative moment, inhaling the vapours, marvelling the patterns collected in my strainer, but this season it’s extra relaxing.
Take a moment to connect with the world around you and ask what does Autumn mean to you?
