As much as I am so happy to be back at work currently, during lockdown I did also love having some time to get my hands stuck into some DIY and decorating my home. From little bits to repainting my sash windows and clearing through all my products to make my home space a happier place! One of my favourite things I finally had the time to do if what I have lovingly named my 'Wall of Fame'. I decided it was time I put some of my accomplishments pride and place up on the wall, so I framed some of my front cover magazine shoots. It fills me with such pride to look at now as it did at the time of doing...
This AW17 photoshoot with La Di Da magazine I wanted to channel the 1940’s inspired glamour of the past sensational sirens of the past.
The front cover was all about the strength of a women wearing a tuxedo suit and top hat and the strong emphasis on strong lipstick. I didn’t want the lipstick to be the traditional cherry red I wanted to really show a twist to the look with more of a autumnal burnished red by Marc Jacob.
Using make-up by:
Foundation and concealer: Veil Cover Cream
Lipstick and Blusher: Marc Jacob
Eyebrows, mascara and bronzer: Rodial

As the beauty columnist for La Di Da Magazine I am so excited to see when La Di Da Magazine is released on each issue. I quickly open the copy of the page of my beauty column (this issue it is page 15).
This issue it is about the strength of the red lipstick that truly never goes out of date and can be worn in any season throughout the year. This image was taken from an editorial shoot with Next Clothing for this issue and during the day I created this stunning look with lipstick by Pixi by Petra.

Check out Page 12 for another glimpse of another look created using blue eyeshadow perfect for New Year's Eve party.
I wanted to create the look with colour and emphasis on 1980’s inspired look ready for the Spring/Summer of 2017 which is in our horizon very soon. The look is all about colour but instead of the strong 1980’s pink blusher I opted to use the Instaglam...
Straight off the catwalks of New York, London, Paris and Milan the summer make-up trend is blue eyeliner.
How can you wear blue eyeliner without looking like you have gone back in time in the 1980’s or looking like ABBA.
The trick is to make the focus on the eyeliner but keep the rest of the make-up on the skin and lips really natural. Less is more with this type of look.
To create the look I used a blue khol pencil by Daniel Sandler
Moisturiser: Steamcream
Foundation: Armani Silk Foundation
Concealer: Amazing Concealer
Mascara: RMK 03W
Eyebrows: Eylure Eyebrow...
It is always wonderful when I get asked to be make-up artist for magazine editorials and the latest issue of La Di Da Magazine I got to work with LA model Francoise Boufhal who was back in the UK for a short while. Francoise has such a busy schedule working in LA in USA. Francoise was so easy to work with during the photoshoot with her dog, Spider who was just adorable.
You must get your hands on a copy of the magazine from various stockists or online here

Whilst working at London Fashion Week in February 2015 I got a chance to work with Ariane Poole and use her new eyeshadow Tsarina. Whilst Autumn is now upon us I wanted to create a smoky eye but using a different colour instead of the usual dark brown or black.
Ariane Poole trio eyeshadow in Tsarina is a jewel coloured green ranging from a light green to a dark mossy colour.

I am fortunate to have worked with La Di Da magazine on their front covers in some of the magazine's previous editions. This latest edition was to showcase an "ascot theme" within the grounds and country house of Middleton Lodge in North Yorkshire. The make-up was to keep it simple with a classic look.
You can also read the story 'Ascot Dahlings' relating to the front cover here
