A letter from Jo

It’s March 20th and today the Spring Equinox will offically pass at 9.24pm GMT. As we welcome this new season it feels like a time to celebrate, and celebrate we shall as it’s also the 1st year anniversary for the launch of my brand Untitled No 1.

What evokes an emotion for you during Spring time?  For me personal,  it’s the gentle warmer light in the morning and that extra hour of sunlight on an evening, birds singing and flowers blooming. It’s the abundant English bluebells filling fields with a delicate swathe of blue and purple hues, the young lambs that bounce around the fields with a hop skip and jump and of course the endless cups of tea to wash down plates of hot cross buns.

When I think of these spring time feelings, I think of how that translates to my work. Makeup wise I love to change my blusher to a slightly more pink hue in a liquid form or gentle creams to bring a sense of youthfulness. To keep that fresh glow going and bring in a playful energy I use lots of pinks and soft burgundy hues on the eyelids too.

As a celebration of Spring Equinox I would like to introduce some of my top picks for the season that make me feel full of self love. Self love is subjective, everyone will all have something that makes them feel loved and recharged.  It could be five minutes sitting in stillness with yourself, or a scent to create an uplifting mood, a moment outside in touch with nature. Here’s my suggestions for things to try this spring!
