Last week that crazy heat wave we were having struck during a major photoshoot I was working on with Belle Bridal Magazine. Working on set on the hottest day of the year was certainly challenging but getting to see the location in all its glory in the sunshine, the gorgeous lavender sunsets and the incredible work the team pulled together made it all worth it. Not to mention all the laughs, wine and cheese we had along the way!
Our set for the few days was the magnificent Chateau Challain, a perfect fairytale chateau in the south western region of France. Built in 1854 by one of the most renowned familes at the time the building oozes neo-gothic romanticism and grandeur, making it the perfect setting for the past 12 years it has been hosting weddings and stays in its 5 Star B&B. Voted one of the top 10 wedding destinations in France and I can definitely vouch for that. Despite struggling in the 40 degree heat I cannot wait to be able to show you the images that we will have produced for Belle Bridal AW19 using this epic setting, here’s a little taster of whats to come and the products I used.
At the Chateau Challain I found myself in awe of the interior furnishings and lavish gardens at every moment. This red chair definitely was one of my faves! On my skin for this trip was Zo Skin Health, Milk Make-up Blusher and Charlotte Tilbury Mascara.
For the models in the shoots I was using a variety of products from Milk Make-up, Charlotte Tilbury, Sisley Paris, Mac Cosmetics, Nars, REN Clean Skincare and Sam McKnight. The lovely photographer Camilla Lucinda from the shoot was kind enough to snap a couple profesional product shots for me to share with you here.
Until the publication of Belle Bridal AW19 is out there’s only so much I can show you of the final looks, this video is just a little sneak peak of the ethereal make-up style I was creating on set whilst the gorgeous model Charlie Would cools off with one of the many fans we had on set that day!
