Samantha Whitehead-Young approached me to ask if i would offer my services as a Make-up artist.  Samantha  runs her own business as a Wedding Planner www.samanthawhitehead-young.co.uk.  Samantha needed a profile shoot and images for an exciting new project next year which i am unable to mention at the moment.

I began, first and foremost a primer.  This is essential in all situations when it comes to applying a professional look for make-up, especially for a photo shoot.  The primer i used was Ariane Poole Retexturising Primer which gives the skin a translucent effect.  Just what we need before the photographer arrives.   My next application is the Ariane Poole Mineral Sheer Tint foundation, Samantha has wonderful skin already so it was a light foundation in coverage to the skin which i apply with a foundation brush.  I then used a small touch of concealer from Ariane Poole collection which  works wonders on dark circles and reddness to the skin, Conceal Contour Palette.

Skin preparation and application applied and now the eyes.  Eyebrow powder i used was Jemma Kidd Eyebrow kit, which is a soft application powder to the eyebrows.  Begin the eyeshadow, we decided the application of eyeshadow was to be natural with strong focus on softness to the eyes with eyeliner.  Soft natural shades on the eyelid, and i used a soft focus eyeliner pencil combined with a chocolate brown colour eyeshadow by Lancome.   Final stages of the eyes, the mascara, Estee Lauder Sumptuous Mascara which gives the eyeslashes a wow factor.

Lipstick was a fantastic shade my Jemma Kidd.  Blusher by Nars.  Final touches of powder before the photo shoot.

Professional photographer began working with Samantha and she soon relaxed in front of the camera.  Claire of Burns Rowatt Photography is a professional, relaxed, charming photographer who soon took some superb photographs.
