How I Created An Effortless & Natural Bridal Makeup Glow for Leeds Bride Sally

My summer as a wedding makeup artist was well and truly kicked off with a burst of unbeatable joy thanks to Leeds based pair Sally & Oli. Flicking through these images now, you can really feel the couples’ contagious, charismatic energy. The perfect start to the season ahead!

Creating Sally’s bridal look really was such a pleasure, I know that’s one of those things we all say about a lot of our clients but this was more than that. Full of such a radiant, bubbly energy, I couldn’t wait to match her personality with an effortless, glowing wedding day makeup style.

We had chatted in the trial all about bringing that natural subtle glow, and I knew I had the perfect product for it, the Universal Glow Treatment by Poco! Bringing such a soft luminance to the skinbase on a variety of skin types, this Poco masterpiece product has quickly become a favourite I’m always packing in my kit these days.

We brought a pop of colour into the look on the lips, opting for a mid berry tone in the form of Lisa Eldridge’s Velvet Blush Lightly, as the shade playfully mirrored some of the hues that carried through in her chosen wedding day palette. These True Velvet Lip Colours really say what they do on the tin, the range boasts rich and velvety array of pigments that I love to use for bridal work as the tones are so beautiful.

Once we had every detail perfected, off I sent Sally on her way for her day filled with dance laughter and love… the perfect recipe!
