Every day in the UK 9 women are diagnosed with cervical cancer and 3 women will lose their lives to the disease. Cervical cancer is the most common cancer in women aged 35 and under.
Cervical Cancer is largely preventable thanks to cervical screening but we are worried that uptake is dropping with over 20% of women not taking up their screening invitation.
Regular cervical screening provides a high degree of protection against developing cervical cancer and is offered free on the NHS.
