Just like many of my 2021 weddings, Priyanka and Paul’s felt like double the celebration. Another couple surrounded by their friends and family on October 23rd at Bolton Castle, all just over joyed to be together celebrating this day of love between the two after countless restrictions and lockdowns we had all endured globally. The pandemic has hit us all hard in so many ways, but seeing how people grasp the opportunity to live life to the fullest again when they finally get the chance to is really such a beautiful thing. That’s the exact energy I felt as I helped Priyanka get ready for her special day.
When meeting Priyanka it was hard not to be won over instantly by her beaming smile and zest for colour. I may be renowned as the queen of skin, but there’s nothing like getting to add some colour to a flawless base. I knew straight away we’d be getting into her perfect shade of lipstick, the right kind of red to match her wedding Sari. It was a vibrant red adorned with the most beautiful hand sewn intricate gold threading and it deserved a well paired lip.
After some thought and careful inspection of my kit, I found that the Fenty Beauty Stunna Lip Paint had the perfect cool blue undertones in shade Uncensored that I was looking for. It’s gorgeous modern matte texture ensured the colour truly popped on her lips and didn’t get lost in all the complex beauty of Priyanka’s final wedding look. Even better still it continued to compliment Priyanka’s look through out the day as she changed into a stunning white wedding dress. Two looks fit for a regal queen and a make-up look to match!
Take a scroll through this snippet of their wedding album by All You Need Is Love Photography and you will be able to see exactly what I mean. The setting at Bolton Castle is just an unbeatable backdrop for such an occasion. Believed to once have been home to Mary Queen of Scots, not only is this venue rife with history, it’s also been recently voted as the 17th best wedding venue by the Independent on Sunday!
Enjoy, Jo x
