I was thrilled to be asked back to work backstage at London Fashion Week with the lead make-up artist Ariane Poole with Ariane Poole Cosmetics.

Two seasons running Ong Oag Pairam has worked alongside Ariane to create beautiful make-up to represent the clothes from his collection.

Ong Oag himself is an extremely passionate designer about his collection and you can see the fine details that he adds to his clothes, from the research and aspiration towards the fabric he chooses to even the colour.

This season being Spring Summer 2016 was a reference to the late 1950’s to 1960’inspired of luxurious couture clothes which represent travel from the safari jackets to the trench coats.   The season palette of tan, sand, russet colours with then the vibrant tropical colours of pink, green and yellow from exotic birds.

Ong Oag Pairam wanted to create a collection that would empower women and make people turn their heads to see what you were wearing…….he certainly achieved this.

How to create the look

IMG_3614To create the look on the make-up it was about keeping the skin natural with a dewy finish, soft focus on the eyes and a pop of colour on the lips.

Step one – Skin
Apply the Ultimate Face tint all over applying with fingertips to create a healthy glow. Use illuminator pen around the eye area to brighten the eyes.

Step Two – Eyes
Use the crystal taupe eye shine and apply with fingertips to create a slightly smudge finished on the eyelids. To add the pop of green eyeliner apply on the top and bottom of the eyelashes but in a subtle way.   Use the white eyeliner on the inner part of the eye again to make the eyes stand out.

Step Three – Cheeks
The bronzer to be applied under the cheekbones and add to the apply of the cheeks to add a flush of colour.   Use the luminzer highlighter on top of the cheekbones to create a glow.

Step Four – Lips
Use two shades of lipstick and dab onto lips with fingertips to create a matt finish.
