I love collaborating with other artists just like I did with the ultra talented photographer Natalie Pluck for this spellbinding shoot with a bridal twist featuring Kate Fearnley Bridalwear. It’s my favourite way to keep my mind fresh, meaning I’m primed and ready with creative solutions for my brides when they come to me.
The best wedding day base makeup looks like you were born with it, but deciding how to create my signature perfected skin is different for every face. It’s my decades of editorial, runway and commercial projects that have armed me with the knowledge and skill to design the perfect bridal look custom to your needs.
This shoot called for one brand only, Ere Perez Natural Cosmetics. Our model Eve Pearson‘s skin was a great canvas to showcase how their natural formulas with powerful ingredients are like a spa day for your features. We were focusing on a minimal at its best kind of style to replicate the elegant simplicity of the bridalwear, so whilst we steered away from colour we leant heavily into the glow.
The Vanilla Highlighter Balm allowed for an effortless illumination of Eve’s skin once it had been thoroughly massaged with the Papaya SOS Marmalade to invigorate and moisturise her face for a fresh plump look.
Natural makeup doesn’t have to mean no mascara, the Aloe Gel Lash & Brow Mascara is a clear nourishing formula that creates a shine and definition with out the drama. It’s all you still, but hydrated and elevated.
For the shots where we did want to amp up the drama a little with some colour, I took the Jojoba Eye Pencils in shades Rich Brown and Natural Black. Earthy tones and nourishing pigments that would draw all eyes on you for your aisle style. I can’t wait to incorporate Ere Perez into my bridal kit, because makeup that promotes healthy skin will keep you feeling your best, freshest self your whole wedding day.
Enjoy, Jo x
