Natalie’s style and vision felt so clear as we finished our trial and I looked back down to my notes. Detailed descriptions of each feature left no stone unturned and I knew exactly all the perfect tools for the job to bring this beautiful look to life for her. When her wedding morning came around we got to work using the holy trifecta of skin prep products because it’s the most important step for a successful look.
Waso Quick Matte Moisturizer left Natalie’s skin hydrated but oil-free, a key step for those hot weather weddings. Ariane Poole’s Pore Perfecting Face Primer to double down on the oil-free products but bring a smoothed out feel to the face, topped up with the WBCo Prep Mist for extra freshness and hydration.
I can’t emphasise enough how important preparing the skin properly is to the final make-up outcome, it’s so essential for my signature perfected skin base. Whether it’s the right routine in the weeks leading up to your wedding or the products we use on the day, it’s all about laying the right foundations – before we put on the foundation! I’m always happy to discuss what you can be doing at home pre-wedding to help with this.
After creating the aforementioned signature perfected skin base for Natalie we moved on to bringing her look to life with colour. The vibe was a slight smokey eye, something modest but impactful. The Charlotte Tilbury Golden Goddess Luxury Palette was the obvious choice for this, using the lightest shade right on the inner corners to bring a bright open feel to the eye. The rest of the shades blending seamlessly together across the outer lid and lightly smudged out along the lower lash line with the eyeliner.
Natalie asked for a delicate hue of contour to bring some dimension in to her face with colour on the cheeks. Keeping things warm and bronzed to match her tan I used the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow and opted for a peachy shade from the Daniel Sandler Watercolour Liquid Blush range for a gentle flush of the right pink tones for her skin.
