After rescheduling and rearranging multiple times throughout lockdown after lockdown, at last the 25th of July 2021 was the one that stuck for Laura and her husband. Delighted to finally get married Laura was such a joy to work with for her wedding morning and even more of a joy was to receive this message after from the lovely bride herself…
“Honestly Jo, you were amazing to have as our make-up artist. Our make-up stayed on all day, we looked as good as we did when you had just finished at 3am! None of us could believe someone could be so talented at that! Thank you so much!”
What a compliment, this line of work really is about bringing that extra touch of beauty and happiness to my bride’s day. So when I get a message like this after the wedding I couldn’t feel more fulfilled!
The make-up look created for Laura that she loved so much was very much a dreamy inspiration with lots of delicate touches. That’s why I used Ariane Poole’s Pore Perfecting Face Primer because I know it really helps to even out the texture of the skin and give a soft appearing base to work with.
Then choosing to use more amazing quality products like the Ariane Poole Ultimate Face Tint and Shiseido’s Synchro range means I know I am getting pigments that will sit beautifully on the skin for a barely there look. This combination gives a perfect and well blended complexion that adds to the dreamy effect we were going for.
Bringing some colour to the face with SUQQU and Charlotte Tilbury is a match made in heaven and exactly what we needed for this look. The warmth of the bronzed shades from the Golden Goddess Palette on the lids and the Filmstar Bronze and Glow around the face allowed for the ideal metallic contrast against Laura’s blue eyes, making them star of the show.
You can check out below for the full list of what I used for Laura’s make-up as well as a list of vendors, because who knows, maybe you’re feeling inspired to book one for your very own wedding day!
