It’s Christmas, and what better way to celebrate than by sharing one of the most joyful wedding mornings I’ve had in a while?
After an early morning driving along single track lanes and idyllic winding roads I reached the picturesque location for Kirsty and Gav’s wedding nestled in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. Set in converted race horse stables, The Saddle Room in Leyburn is delightfully unique venue and the onsite cottage the couple were staying in was the perfect location for their wedding morning as they kicked the day off in full celebratory swing.
Kirsty was already beaming with excitement as I arrived to the cottage which had been adorned with banners and cards, it was such a great buzzing energy to step into and get to be a part of. Not to mention the connoisseurs of the family had ensured that the finest of french champagne was free flowing, the cherry on the cake of an already beautiful morning. However what I really loved the most was the groom Gav popping in and out to check in on his bride!
It might not be traditional, but it did mean that they truly celebrated the whole day together and got to make even more happy memories. You could really feel the love they have for each other in those little moments between makeup application when he came to say hello and it just felt so special.
Whilst Gav wasn’t celebrating with us for the morning, I got to work on Kirsty’s bridal look which had a heavy focus on adding drama to the eyes and creating a bronzed complexion. I adore using the Shiseido Kajal InkArtist in Tea House on brides who want to amp up the bronzed tones, rather than using a black liner it’s brown hue gives a dramatic effect that is in keeping with the warmth and glow we’re creating on the rest of the face. It also pairs perfectly with the shimmering rose gold and soft brown shades in the Pillow Talk Luxury Palette by Charlotte Tilbury that I used for a bold shadow look that really drew attention to Kirsty’s lovely eyes.
Continuing the bronzed theme I delicately blended out the Chanel Les Beiges Bronzing Cream lightly around the forehead and cheeks which really made the whole look come together. The light and velvety finish of Chanel’s formula is so effortless to blend out and it really works great with my minimal product application approach that leaves my brides feeling fresh faced all day long so they can focus on the nuptial bliss. I hope you’ve enjoyed looking over this joyful selection of Kirsty and Gav’s day as much as I have!
