I wanted to write a quick blog on my recent shopping trip to Illamasqua Stand alone store in Leeds. I was like a child in a sweet shop i didn’t know what to buy what i needed for my make-up kit but my main visit to the store was to purchase some items for a Vintage Inspired Wedding Fayre on 29th April at Salburn by the Sea in Cleveland North Yorkshire. At this Wedding fayre i am offering demonstrations on Vintage inspired make-up for future brides on the day and to have a chance to chat about bridal make-up.
Illamasqua Stand alone store in Leeds staff were friendly and informative on the products. Illamasqua is a relatively new British Brand set up in 2008 the brain child of Julian Kynaston and Joseph Corre the success of this brand has spread to US, Australia and Dubai. The core collection is based on a range created by Arnold Langer, who learned his trade in prewar Berlin amongst underground clubs and cabaret performers. Illamasqua is fun, adventurous, colourful and some excellent core products.
The products i have purchased this month are:
Skin Base Foundation in various shades which i use for shading and contouring the face as well as foundation. This medium coverage formula smooths, softens and conditions your skin with a natural complexion.
Medium Pencils in Vow and Hex these pencils i will be using as eyeliners but also as highlighters for the eyebrows and eye area.
Eye Liner Cake in black this creates a dark, dramatic eye with a non smudge, perfect for my vintage inspired eye make-up. The cake is mixed with the sealing gel which turns the powder into a colour intense and water resistant.
I am looking forward to using these products over the weekend. To check out this wonderful brand go to www.illamasqua.com
