It’s a distant memory now, but I wont ever forget about staying at The Hiveaway in Wales earlier this year. As the seasons change and I yearn for a cosy little get away, I can’t help but reminisce and think about how perfect this place would be for a lot of my brides for some kind of mini moon get away, or even a break from the stress of planning pre-wedding! Getting some rest before the big day does do wonders for the skin afterall.

Me and my partner stayed in The Hyde cabin which is incredible and remincent of a beehive with all the hexagonal shapes. On arrival we took the road through the wooded lane to the grounds of the hiveaway and parked up to marvel at the beautiful building. Loading up our stuff in the wheelbarrow provided we made our way into the cabin.

Every direction I looked in I was in awe of the wonderful space The Hiveaway had created in The Hyde. We had pre-booked a breakfast hamper that was fully stocked with endless food that kept us going the whole trip. My boyfriend quickly worked out how to stoke the fire so we could prepare the bath outside for a hot soak taking in the views overlooking the rolling hills.

We had all these amazing plans to visit all the cute seaside towns across Ceredigion but I truly didn’t want to leave The Hyde for a second. It was completed with the most comfortable bed, refreshing hot shower for when you’ve had enough of bathing outdoors and plenty of land for me to go foraging for blackberries and wild flowers whilst my boyfriend kept the fires in the stoves burning.

Making the most of staying put, The Hiveaway is the perfect location to switch off the outside world, with morning meditations, cosy board game evenings, walks, foraging, watching the sunset and listening to the rain. We were lucky enough to experience the magic of all the seasons whilst we stayed in classic UK weather fashion and each brought its own beauty!

No TV, no WIFI, the ideal staycation to meaningfully connect with a loved one. I highly recommend a visit to recharge your batteries no matter the occasion!
