Helen & Joe’s Traditional British Summer Wedding and Make-up To Match

After a suprise proposal at Middleton Lodge it was only right that on 12th of July 2019 Helen and Jo returned for their fabulous wedding reception after a traditional church ceremony at the nearby St Michael & All Angels in Middleton Tyas. These pictures by MIKI Photo + Film Studio really capture the essence of the exact day they wanted, a relaxed but elegant and traditional british summer wedding with minimalistic yet sophisticated decor using a white palette with hints of orange and fuschia florals.

For Helen’s make-up we wanted a timeless glam that complimented the gorgeous styling of the day that she could feel comfortable and confident in. Using Ariane Poole for the face combined with my favourite ultra velvety Nars Concealer to get an effortlessly smooth base. I then focused on the top half of her eyes to create an exageratted shape using L’oreal’s Tattoo Liner and a pair of false lashes on top of my trusty wedding favourite the Charlotte Tilbury Exaggereyes shadow palette. The cheeks were flushed ever so gently with a pink Suqqu Blusher that blended seemlessly. Finally Charlotte Tilbury’s Pillow Talk Lipstick was added in a gorgeous nude shade to be in keeping with the subtle hues of the day.

The make-up look and effortlessly tumbling waves in her hair paired with Helen’s Daffodil gown by Half Penny London from Marrime Bridal meant she was a picture perfect bride ready for the most wonderful day. She left me with the biggest compliment I feel I can get, that the make-up made her feel like herself, which is exactly what make-up is for!
