I love it when stylists from the fashion industry recommend me to brides for their wedding makeup! Specifically this time it was so fun because they knew their friend soon to be wed, Heather, would really want a modern, fashion forward approach to her look rather than current trends.
Heather came to our trial armed with the knowledge of what she wanted, with plenty of references on hand and we quickly built a makeup style she loved. From taking notes from makeup artist Katie Jane Hughes for her glowing complexion to bringing in some Kate Moss vibes for defined cheekbones we filled out her face chart in no time. Crafting her chiselled contour we used The Sculpting Contour Powders by Kevyn Aucoin and kept her skin glowing with Lisa Eldridge’s Crystal Nebula highlighter.
This was a great starting point from which we decided a small winged eyeliner would compliment the look perfectly alongside a delicate blush thanks to the finely milled powders and beautiful textures of SUQQU’s Pure Colour Blush.
I arrived at her family home on the wedding morning to the place buzzing with excitement and great music, think Café Del Mar and Crazy P. Some perfect tunes to start the day off full of good energy, much better than the usual 80’s cheese! And it only got even better from there, as you can see Teddy Photo and Film really caught the essence of this uber cool bride and groom.
Combined with their amazing celebrant Gemma and the contempory reception surroundings at the BALTIC, this day couldn’t of got any cooler! The perfect vibe for the couple if you ask me, just see for yourself in these sneak peak of first images.
Enjoy, Jo x
