Behind The Scenes With Gold Boutique’s Summer Essentials Jewellery

The sun might be gracing us with plenty of its presence lately, but it certainly wasn’t for this Gold Boutique summer shoot back in the end of April! Out on location in the hip area of Newcastle, luckily for us the Ouseburn boasts some super cool graffiti filled arches and walkways that perfectly reflect the intended vibe for the final images. They offered an amazing backdrop and some refuge from the heavens opening before heading to the studio for some close-ups.

When I was considering the make-up I looked over the moodboards I was sent and really felt instantly inspired by the street style and 90’s vibes to dive straight into my kit and select some products perfect for the job. Starting things off preping the skin base with Steamcream and Delilah’s Underwear Future Resist Foundation Primer is a one way ticket to healthy and fresh looking skin ideal for the young and fun energy this shoot required.

To me nothing says individuality and self expression than bringing some fun colours into the mix, however we wanted the jewellery to really do the talking and pull focus for these images. I opted to show this through use of gently blended in tones that added in just perfected amount of warmth on the cheeks using none other than SUQQU Pure Colour Powder Blusher for their beautiful pigments that buff out to perfection into the skin base.

Then for some long lasting lip colour out in the elements I needed something that performs with excellent staying power. Luckily for me I recently had tried out the Stila All Day Liquid Lipstick and I knew it was the right thing for the job, I mean it’s written in the name after all! I layered ontop some of Stila’s Shine Fever Lip to give more of that nostalgic glossy lip look that tore through the 90’s and the two paired beautifully together.
