Missing balmy autumn beach days? This Emma Hedley Jewellery campaign is ready to transport you to warmer days as the temperatures continue to drop this December.
That being said, this shoot actually took place on such a wild and windy day that we spent our time battling the elements with a smile and a laugh on the sand dunes of South Shields. You wouldn’t know as photographer Claire Collinson captured incredible moments that look so blissful despite the weather, whilst the incredible model Hannah Shaw was effortlessly cool in the face of strong gusts. It’s a real testament to the team that this campaign makes the Tyneside beach look idyllic that day!
The makeup vibe was in keeping with the beachy theme, light, natural and easy going. Creating moments of intrigue with small pops of colour in hues that represented the surrounding environment and reflected colour story of the jewellery. Considering the weather, I took only a small kit out with me for ease of touch ups on location, hunkered down behind the wind shield I didn’t want to be fussing through a large bag!
That meant picking a select amount I knew I could rely on not only to work well alone, but with each other, so I decided to use all Ariane Poole Cosmetics! My go to’s for a barely-there complexion style the Ultimate Face Tint and Trio Concealer were all I needed and held up against the forecast amazingly. The Baked Bronzer really amped up the coastal energy for a sunkissed feel paired with the Crystal Taupe Eyeshine that was perfectly befitting of a jewellery campaign!
The results are beautiful, and represent Emma Hedley’s thoughtful designs in her ethical fine jewellery collection perfectly.
Enjoy, Jo x
