Elis’ Natural Bridal Beauty At Middleton Lodge

This week I’m sharing bride Elis’ wedding day, featuring two of my all time favourites as a wedding make-up artist. First, as many of you know, is Middleton Lodge. It’s my number 1 location I love to work at, set in 200 acres of rural North Yorkshire it’s just such a dreamy spot that you’d be hard pressed to find any couple that it didn’t impress. Next is my signature style, the no make-up make-up look, using my signature perfected skinbase.

 

Her chosen style paired perfectly with the quintessential countryside setting and the images below really say it all. When choosing products we opted for a lot of neutral brownish shades with a slight pop of rosy-ness to bring some life to the dimension.

I love using the MAC Paint Pot in Groundwork for a neutral taupe that works incredibly for these natural bridal looks like Elis’. The colour is amazing on so many skin tones, giving a subtle depth around the eyes that doesn’t read immediately as make-up. Then I framed said eyes with Refy Brow Gel, leaving her brows looking beautiful sculpted with hold that I know will last all day.

 

The Charlotte Tilbury Iconic Nude Lip Cheat is a true nude beige that lines without harsh definition, which is just what you want for this barely there style. It’s these small details that allow brides like Elis to look done up and natural at the same time. The lips were then blurred and softened further with Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm for a soft, comfortable sheen.

 

Merit’s Flush Balm is where I brought the most colour to this look, taking the shade Stockholm for a delicate pink hue. Balanced against their warm taupe shade Fox for cheeks that had sunkissed dimension, along with that newly wedded flush that you could convince your guests was au naturale.
