Elévon World, based in Newcastle upon Tyne has one passion and goal: to discover, develop and promote the world’s hottest new designers. Fashion events company, Elévon World is hosting their third designer showcase at the acclaimed art gallery, The Biscuit Factory on Friday the 2nd October featuring breakthrough designer Melissa Obika, who won ‘The British Council International Residency Award’ at this years London Graduate Fashion Week, Chorley Wood, whose work was shown at the Geneva Forex Event in Switzerland this year, New York City based designer Lena Yoo, as well as local home grown talents Rebecca Clegg, Georgia Madge and Oxygen London.
Rapidly expanding company, Elévon acts as a gateway into the fashion sector, creating the platform needed for aspiring designers to showcase and promote their latest collections in front of hundreds of industry specialists with the aim of elevating the freshest and latest talent. A noteworthy illustration of Elévon’s success is designer Meagan Wellman who showcased her brand MSEW with Elévon World and has since shown her collection at Harlem’s Fashion Row in New York City.
With two previous sell out events to its name, Elévon has gone from strength to strength and intends to host events not only in the north east but on a national level, transforming the fashion industry. New features at this season’s event are talks led by key industry insiders. Speakers include David Reay who worked at senior management and director level for major global fashion brands such as Barbour and Jockey, as well as Michael Owen, founder and MD of ‘Always Wear Red’ who will be leading a presentation on ‘From Business Land to Fashion Brand’.
Elévon World in association with and supported by regionally renowned companies Tyne Tees Models, MSA, The Biscuit Factory, Play the Field and The Junkyard Studios, hope to provide not only a successful platform for emerging designers on a national and international scale but a not-to-be-missed industry event firmly fixed on the fashion calendar.
