This week I wanted to write about my latest new love, an amazing brand called Õrn Kuu founded by a fellow hair and makeup artist Alice. Having suffered with severe eczema and contact dermatitis for her whole life, searching high and low for remedies, Alice wanted to create a skincare brand that ticked all the boxes she felt was missing on the market. She became a certified organic skincare formulator after finding relief in blends of plant oils, butters and extracts so she could share her secrets with the world at Õrn Kuu.
Centering on the idea of holistic wellness, a connection to nature...
Another season means another Ruby & Oscar campaign, releasing the latest of their fine gemstone jewellery adorned with a mixture of natural and lab grown gemstones set in precious metals in a plethora of striking designs.
This spring collection was all about a pop of colour for the brand, which I think they've nailed with shades of delicious greens in the emerald collection and luxurious purple hues sparkling within the amethysts.
It was really fun to take this spring time inspiration with the team at Ruby & Oscar and translate it into makeup. I was feeling...
Unless you're new here, you will have already heard me raving plenty about my brand Untitled №1! It's where I launched my very own makeup brush range and is a growing bespoke marketplace showcasing small brands with good intentions.
Seeing as we just turned 1 at Untitled №1, we thought it was time to add something fresh. A culimnation of celebrating the start of spring and our anniversary, we launched our very own newsletter!
Each newsletter will be released at the start of spring, summer, autum and winter. I've spent a lot of my career feeling creatively driven by the turning of the seasons,...
What started as just a holiday to New Zeland many years ago now, turned into a whirlwind love story for bride Helen who was struck by cupids arrow when she met Peter on her vacation. Since that moment their love has blossomed, with Helen moving her whole career out to New Zeland to start her life with her man. Then March the 4th rolls around, and Helen and Peter bring New Zeland to North Yorkshire for an intimate private wedding in the quaint and cosy Fig House and its flourishing Walled Farden at Middleton Lodge.
Many long distance journeys have been made in the name of this romantic story,...
A letter from Jo
It's March 20th and today the Spring Equinox will offically pass at 9.24pm GMT. As we welcome this new season it feels like a time to celebrate, and celebrate we shall as it's also the 1st year anniversary for the launch of my brand Untitled No 1.
What evokes an emotion for you during Spring time? For me personal, it’s the gentle warmer light in the morning and that extra hour of sunlight on an evening, birds singing and flowers blooming. It's the abundant English bluebells filling fields with a delicate swathe of blue and purple hues, the young lambs that bounce around...
This bride knew exactly that she wanted to go big, bold and beautiful for her wedding and she fulfilled that wish and then some. Amy was an bright and joyful bride and she planned herself the wedding to match. It's was truly magical to see her vision come to life and now be immotalised in this super fun album by Forget Me Knot Images.
Northumbrian Flowers supplied suitably matched blooms in hot pinks and yellows which went with the abundance of pom poms and ribbons that adorned the day. Even the tractor was dressed with colour to transport the wedding party in countryside...
Valentines may have come and gone but love is still in the air, awkward love! Shot for Awkward Mag this issue celebrates the whole spectrum of what it means to love. Take it from the editor herself Liz Sheppard:
"Painful. Emotional. Ignore it. Hate it. Stay in. Embrace it. Love it. Cringe-worthy? Expensive flowers. The pressure. Our emotional story for this special edition encompasses all those thoughts. In the words of Poison's 1988 'Every Rose Has Its Thorn' (Just like every cowboy sings his sad, sad song)."

This week I'm sharing with you an interview with TTM Management where I dip into some of the details about taking the leap from being a professional makeup artist to a beauty brand owner with Untitled No1.
I've worked with TTM since 2015 on many amazing projects, including the stunning Jewellery shoots that often feature on my blog for the Roxoa Group who house the likes of Renné Jewellery and Ruby and Oscar. I've always appreciated being nestled amongst the ranks of wonderfully talented artists and models at TTM that it was a true pleasure to sit down with them and chat business too.

I'm so excited to share this blog with you as it was recently released that this shoot I worked on was submitted in Foreign Look Magazine!
Other than the brows being courtesy of some WBCo Soap Brow of course, this is a full SUQQU makeup and skincare look. I don't think I will ever get over how good their blushers look in person and in print. Of course their Aquafons skincare range too is the perfect prep to get the skin ready for some seriously close up shots. Complimenting the tones of the blush is a peachy glossy lip with a blurred edge for that dewy soft effect.
Adorned with...
