Renewal, new beginnings and shifting perspectives, the Spring Equinox is here to refresh your spirit. It's the season of clarity, and whilst none of us hold the crystal ball, we do hold the power to create our own journey. Open up like the delicate crocus and bloom. Step into the swirling energy of an abundant spring and recharge after the sleepy winter months.
It's time to embrace the enlightenment of what is ahead. What does the future hold for you? For me, renewal starts in the home. Spring cleaning the house, reorganising what brings me joy and removing what doesn't. Even simply sorting...
Soak up the spring sunshine as we take a step back into my favourite venue, Yorkshire's stunning Middleton Lodge. This time I'm back on the pristine grounds to create some equally amazing wedding make-up for the beautiful soul Ashley.
For her bridal look Ashley wanted to create a real soft and glowy glam that echoed the ethereal surroundings. To get a perfected skin base for her radiant wedding day style I always like to start with skin care. Lucky for me Ashley had made my job easy, on the run up to her wedding she'd been attending Durham's fantastic The Beauty Therapy Clinic....
June sunshine lit up The Yorkshire Wedding Barn for Lydia's wedding in Gilling West, which meant starting the bridal makeup with one of my favourite SPF's. The Beauty Pie Featherlight SPF is perfect as it combines high SPF with a really makeup friendly formula that helps secure pigments in place on a balmy day. There's little worse than feeling greasy from your sun protection on a hot day, then layering make-up on top can be a recipe for disaster. Starting with the Beauty Pie SPF is a great way to keep the skinbase light and fresh whilst still being protected.

A little over two years on and we're taking a fresh look at Lauren and Keir's wedding at Northumberlands incredible wedding venue Brinkburn Priory. Having met when she was working as a model, Lauren is still flourishing within her industry. This look back at her wedding photography reveals just a glimpse into her growing talent, and how luxurious, expertly done wedding makeup is timeless.
This is the value in chosing the right MUA when planning your wedding, with images you will look at for years to come, it's important to me that you look back and feel like an incredible representation of yourself...
Latest work published in F Word Magazine showcases the editorial talents of some of my favourite North East creatives. When we're not working on weddings, you'll find me, photographer Lee Scullion and hair stylist Gareth Lambert collaborating on projects that keep our artistic minds fresh.
Whilst the context might be far fetched from my bridal work, the brief isn't so different. Giving model Idgie a warm natural glow that plays into the inviting nature of this shoot, Hummingbird. Designed to welcome your attention in to the present moment and see the beauty in now.
“Hummingbird teaches...
Flashback to December at Halton Grove, it was such a beautiful winter's day in Northumberland. I always love seeing the sun shine brightly through the windows and directly onto my bridal makeup chair. It was the last wedding I was working as a makeup artist in 2024, and it was just the joyful boost I needed send me off into the festive break. That's all because of the energy that just radiated out of lovely bride Laura.
Just a quick scroll through this preview of their wedding album from Sean Elliot Photography will illustrate perfectly the happy go lucky vibes she brought to our morning together....
The North East's finest source of bridal style inspo, Belle Bridal Magazine is back for its 28th issue and I'm sharing the makeup details so you can get your own front cover look.
Embracing the Spring essence of this edition I'm ready to blast away the January blues here in County Durham. I really wanted to create a striking skin glow that would transport you to sunnier days by creating an eye catching highlight using the Weleda Skinfood Rich Intensive. The moisture rich formula swiped across the cheeks, shoulders and collar bones really gave those high points a healthy rejuvenated pop both on camera...
The time for rest and reset has truly never felt more prevalent as we welcomed the Winter Solstice last Friday here in the Northern Hemisphere.

Feeling ready to take stock and prepare for a prosperous 2025? In this blog I'll be covering my top seasonal beauty picks to enhance your new year.

I love collaborating with other artists just like I did with the ultra talented photographer Natalie Pluck for this spellbinding shoot with a bridal twist featuring Kate Fearnley Bridalwear. It's my favourite way to keep my mind fresh, meaning I'm primed and ready with creative solutions for my brides when they come to me.
The best wedding day base makeup looks like you were born with it, but deciding how to create my signature perfected skin is different for every face. It's my decades of editorial, runway and commercial projects that have armed me with the knowledge and skill to design the perfect...
I was connected to create the bridal makeup for Camilla & Charles' wedding by Emma Jordan Weddings as the couple flew in from state side to share their beautiful wedding with family and friends in one of Scotland's most incredible locations, Schloss Roxburghe. It was such a joy to be included in this transatlantic celebration and create Camilla's glowing skin style!
Creating my signature perfected skin base for Camilla meant utilising the most important methods for that no-makeup makeup feel, really good skincare. The Dewy Skin Cream by Tatcha was the star of the show for this bride, creating...
