After the trials and tribulations of trying to create and launch a product in a global pandemic, the wonderful creators over at West Barn Co are finally able to share with us what they've been working on and boy is it good!
Before now West Barn Co already had my heart with their Soap Brows, I am a true believer in the best brow is a fluffy brow and there's no better way to achieve it than when I am armed with my West Barn Co Brush, Prep Mist and Soap Brows. But they wanted to take things a step further than that, to offer products that meant you could get all your brow needs fulfilled in one place...
West Barn Co, the home of the fluffy brows, are here to show you the difference a brow can make when it comes to how you face looks. In these images they have put together you can really see showcased the opening up of the face to give an inviting and lifting look to the face.
Working on this shoot to create the most natural skin base using a little make-up and skincare magic to really keep the focus on just the differences between the left and right sides of the face once the wonderful WBC owner Kim Cattin had crafted a gorgeous fluffy brow for each of the models. Using just...
Now that I am in my 50's skincare is a whole new challenge. It's not something we all first think of when we say menopause to one and other, but once you're in it you soon realise its a very challenging aspect of it you never expected before. Between all the night sweats and aching bones I've been finding myself more and more sleep deprived and lethargic and that's just the tip of the iceberg of it! One of the symptoms that's been quite noticably for me as it's what my job's all about, is 'Menopause face' aka hormone faace, hot faace, sleep-deprived faace, why am I getting spots again faace. For me specifically...
A couple of weeks back I was lucky enough to receive a lovely package from the Peep Club that has really changed the game for me in terms of eye care. They weren't a brand or product I was particularly familiar with before trying them out, so I wanted to make sure I spread the message far and wide so everyone knows about these little life savers. After all our eye area is one of the most delicate parts of our face, and if we want to keep them looking good with or without make-up we need to keep them hydrated!
In my package were three exciting new goodies to try. As they say themselves at Peep...
Last Christmas I was lucky enough to be the recipient of a box full of delightful goodies from the one and only founders of Soap Brow, West Barn Co. If you know me and are a reader of my blog or follower of my Instagram you will know I am already in love with Soap Brows, so I was super excited to see if their new product the Brow Elixir was up to par when I spotted it in the gift box.
Over the last few months I have been putting it through its paces and comparing it with other brow products I have used over the years. More recently this has become of pretty important interest to me as my poor...
I'm back again to talk about my all time faves! Usually when it comes to West Barn Co it's brows I'm raving on about and don't get me wrong I could easily do that for another blog, but today I'm here to focus on the exciting new launch of the Prep Mists.
In a world where we're all striving towards a more sustainable future, even in our make-up bags, these brand new Mists in refillable glass bottles are a welcome change. Not to mention the glass bottles themselves give such a luxurious high end feel, that experience is only enhanced when you get to misting.
The scents are heavenly and the effects...
This time of year I am normally in the likes of Milan or Paris for fashion week, living my best life rushing between shows creating high end editorial looks for catwalk models. Instead thanks to Covid I am at home celebrating the latest news that we finally have a roadmap to get out of lockdown, which means wedding season is ON! I know it's still all hopeful target dates from Boris, but I will keep all of my fingers and toes crossed that the R rate stays down, vaccine rates stay up and we finally do have an end in sight to what has been truly the most challenging time for us all.

Writing this blog I am sat looking out the window as it snows and becomes a winter wonderland outside, I can't help but think about how much time we really are spending inside this lockdown number 3 especially. I took it upon myself earlier in the day and seized the opportunity to get out of the house for my walk so that I could take a few photos of the magical snowy scenes. By the time I got back home I was really feeling the effects on my face of coming in from the cold bitter elements into the intense central heating. Although it may be a beautiful time of year it's a hard one on our skin!
It...
What better pick me up than a make-up lesson?
Whether its winter blues, lockdown blues or just a lack of taking the time to do your make-up blues, you can blow them away with me in a virutal make-up lesson!
Today the 18th of January is apparently the most depressing day of the calendar year, blue monday. But this year lets not be blue, lets lighten the mood by booking in with me for a virtual lesson and get you feeling yourself again.
My lessons can be held for thirty mins, an hour or two hours, which ever is best suited to you! In it we can discuss all aspects of makeup, skincare and any other...
As a make-up artist and all around lover of cream textures on the skin I have been on the quest to find the perfect cream based shade of burgundy. On my hunt high and low to find something to replace my sadly discontinued favourite Bobbi Brown shade, I came across Jillian Dempsey. I was lucky enough that they sent me over a selection of their lid and cheek tints to try my hand at not only for myself but as I am always looking for new exciting additions to pop in my work kit for my upcoming projects.
As you may know by now I often like to get my hands involved when applying make-up,...
